Creative Outlets

Whenever I'm feeling drained after a long day of work I love coming home and doing one of the hobbies I love. Most of them allow me to be creative and bring me joy and relaxation. And quite honestly, it's the part of the day that I look forward to most. I thought I'd show you what my favorite creative hobbies are that you can try out too! These are perfect for anyone at any skill level and soon you'll be looking forward to mastering one of them!

WATERCOLORS - Water coloring is one of the most relaxing hobbies I have. I love it because it's a style of painting that you don't (and shouldn't) expect perfection from. There are so many different techniques to try and it's so exciting to see the colors dance in the water as they blend together.

HAND LETTERING - This is one of my most recent favorites. I fell in love with it after seeing so many beautiful quotes on Instagram and they inspire me to keep practicing. Check out some of my favorite Instagram users with gorgeous work. emmakateco, wovenandwed, mollyjacques, and starofmay.

JEWELRY MAKING - Jewelry making is one of my favorite crafts! One of my favorite parts is finding a piece of jewelry at a store that I love and trying to make it on my own. It's so fun to be able to create a piece that is exactly what I need for a specific outfit too!

FIBER ART - Like hand lettering, this was a hobby I picked up because of all the beautiful pieces that were scattering my Instagram feed. I love how you can work with different colors, textures, and patterns - no one pieces is alike. A few of my favorite Instagram users are sunwoven, wildwoolco, and woolandweave.
