Day six of my "12 Days of Christmas" blog post series is a Winter Reading List!
The snow is going to start falling soon and it will be the perfect weather to cozy up with a warm blanket, hot chocolate, and a good book. Here's my list of the books you should get lost in this chilly winter season. I've already read two of these books but the other four are books I plan on finishing before the snow melts.

1) The Rules for Disappearing - Ashley Elson
This book was featured in my November post of "Currently..." and I'm suggesting it once again. It was a book that I could not put down and when I already thought it was good there was a twist I didn't see coming. I highly recommend it!
2) The Wednesday Letters - Jason F. Wright
This is a beautiful story about love and forgiveness. Jack and Laurel pass away one night and their grown children find the letters that their father has been sending to their mother every Wednesday for their entire marriage. After reading these letters they learn a secret their mother had been keeping to herself and try to cope with it.
3) Pretty Girls - Karin Slaughter
I heard about this book from reading the blog Anchored To Sunshine and it sounds so good! She describes it as a "psychological thriller that was beyond disturbing" which immediately made me want to read it! It's about a 19 year old women who disappears from her college campus and leaves her sisters and parents wondering what happened. 20 years later another girl disappears and it brings together the sisters together to figure out what is happening.
4) Truest - Jackie Lea Sommers
Here is a short summary from Amazon: Silas Hart has seriously shaken up Westlin Beck's small-town life. Brand-new to town, Silas is different from the guys in Green Lake. He's curious, poetic, philosophical, maddening—and really, really cute. But Silas has a sister—and she has a secret. And West has a boyfriend. And life in Green Lake is about to change forever
5) Looking For Alaska - John Green
So, the last book I read by John Green, Paper Towns, did not live up to the hype that surrounded it. But I'm hoping this one will. It's about Miles "Pudge" Halter and the girl, Alaska, that he meets at his boarding school who he falls in love with.
6) Sharp Objects - Gillian Flynn
This was a book recommendation from my friend Emily! Journalist Camille must return to her childhood town to report on the murder of two preteen girls. However, she has to stay with her estranged mother and eerie step sister while dealing with the psychological puzzle of her past to get the story she came there for.
Let me know if you have any other book recommendations! I'm always looking for new ones :)
