Day five of the "12 Days of Christmas" is a DIY!
One of my favorite parts of Christmas is wrapping and decorating Christmas presents! I especially love making my own wrapping paper by using stamps I make myself! It might be more time consuming this way - but if you're like me and could spend an entire day wrapping and decorating then this is the DIY for you.
The supplies you will need:
• Wood Coasters
• Thick Foam Sheet
• X-acto Knife or scissors
• Glue Gun
• Stencil / Ruler / Cookie Cutters
• Paint
• Plain Craft Wrapping Paper
My favorite way to cut a shape for a new stamp is to use a cookie cutter. Just use a cookie cutter to press the shape into the foam. After that, use an x-acto knife or scissors to cut out the shape.

Next, use your glue gun to attach the foam cut out to a wooden coaster

Here's some examples of the stamps I made. I made three using cookie cutters as outlines and made three using some geometric shapes.

Using a foam brush, apply paint to the foam cut out and stamp away! I love the different textures you can achieve by using more or less paint. I love buying large rolls of brown craft wrapping paper from Michael's Craft Store and a variety of paints to stamp the wrapping paper.

Keep an eye on my blog for a post showing you how I love to decroate presents from stamping to ribbon to gift tags.
Happy Crafting!
