Father Hennepin State Park will always be one of my favorites. My family and I have been visiting once a year since I was three years old with the same family friends. We used to go because of the amazing walleye fishing but unfortunately the walleye population has dropped so low they just stopped allowing people to fish for them half way through the season. Either way, it's still an amazing campground and there's still so much to do! Also, keep your eyes peeled for the albino deer that are at the state park! It's been a few years since I've seen them but it's always exciting when you do!

Two of my favorite things to do at Father Hennepin State Park are building rock sculptures and geocaching. The lake is all rocky shore so there's a lot of opportunities for building and there are three geocaches within the park with a lot in the city next to it.

The best part of this state park is the sunsets. I don't think there has ever been one bad sunset in the past 20 some years I've been visiting here.

My favorite island on the lake has the cutest house on it!

One of my favorite photos taken here. A cold foggy morning.

Big fish...

Little fish!
Happy Exploring!
